People have been known to drive upwards of 40 miles for slices of Casola's mouth-watering pizza. A small pie here is large enough to feed a group of massively hungry people, thanks to Casola's heavy-handed toppings piled so high that lifting a slice could be considered a good workout for the arms. Unlike those cookie-cutter pizza chains, the pies at Casola's drip with still-melted cheese as opposed to the tepid, congealed status of cheese on those delivery-chain pies.
And while it would seem logical for a place that doesn’t skimp on ingredients to charge heavily for it, not so at Casola's. In addition to being one of Miami's best pizza places, Casola's is also one of the cheapest, making a budget diner feel as if he or she is splurging on a fabulously decadent, pricey meal. Weekends here are particularly abuzz with activity, but on any given day or night, Casola's draws a crowd of local and not-so-local folks who can't seem to get enough of the pizza and the place.
